In book design, my working process always starts and ends with the use of a grid. I am constantly trying to reinvent the flexibility of the systems created when designing the book's interior. The nature of the projects I have done are mostly photography driven which means the design needs to work to respect the imagery rather than compete with it. I revel in the space between elements whether it be letters, lines of text or imagery. The negative space plays as much of a role as the positive at this point in my career.
